This pattern was inspired by a desire to keep both my head, and my ears, warm when walking my dog Pebbles. Hence the name. It is a close fitting hat designed for someone with a head circumference of approximately 23” (59 cm).

Materials Required
Yarn : 50g to 100g of chunky per hat. Because yardage can vary with different yarns I suggest you make sure you have about 100 yards (about 91m). The yarn I used was 82 yards / 75 m per 50g and just squeezed it out of one ball.

Set of 5, 8.0 mm dpn’s (US size 11)
Or appropriate sizes to get gauge.
Alternatively you could use circular needles up to the decreases.

13 stitches and 17 rows to 4 inches / 10 cm on 8mm needles
