Peek A Boo (No Show) Socks
I love the idea of a no-show sock, but commercially available varieties always seem to slide off my heel inside my shoe. These socks can be customized to fit your foot perfectly, so they stay on in your shoe, but don’t show, except a little peek of the heel depending on the depth of the shoe you choose to wear with them (hence the name).
I recommend making a first pair with no adjustments to identify where adjustments are needed for your perfect fit. The heel will fit most people without adjustment, and adjustments can easily be made for length of your foot or the toe depth.
The pattern is written for a foot circumference of 8-9 inches. It can fit a larger or smaller foot circumference but will depend greatly on how you like your sock to fit.
It requires between 30-50 g of a sock weight or fingering weight yarn. The size can be customized for any foot length, and is a great way to use up small amounts of yarn you have from prior projects. Simply knit the heel and ribbing in a contrasting yarn than the foot and toe section.
