Notes:

-Directions are written in the smallest size, other sizes are in parentheses. S (M, L, XL)

-In order to go up in size (bigger than XL), just chain more than XL size, make sure base chains follow this method: Multiple of 3+1 (add 3 for base chain)

-Top is made by making two rectangles, then making two straps. Seaming the sides of rectangles up to armholes, seaming the corners of the rectangles, and sewing straps in place.

I started this crop top a few weeks ago and after experiencing loss of a loved one and some unexpected news, I have had a hard time finishing this top. The process of making this top was one of joy, and I couldn’t finish it because every time I picked it up to work on it all I felt was sad. This piece I designed became something I dreaded even looking at.

I picked myself up by my proverbial boot straps and finished this top. It took me all of 30 mins to finish it and all I could think about was how much fun I had designing this top and now I was watching my design come to life. It took me 30 mins to feel like myself again!

This top is a reminder that sometimes its not about waiting for creativity to come to you, its about pushing yourself to be creative.
