This pattern is called peeping cats because of the stitch (cats on a fence). I made this car seat cover with detachable straps so that they can be placed in multiple ways. And also so that once the baby grows out of the infant car seat they have a nice cozy blanket to snuggle with and then have an heirloom to pass on.

Supplies needed :

Yarn used: Vanna’s choice
Weight:4
Colors: Mustard, Rust, Fisherman, Fern, Taupe
3 Skeins of each color
2 – 1 inch Buttons
Hooks needed are J 6.0 for chain and an I 5.5 for the body
Abbreviations:
Ch-Chain
Sk- Skip
Sp- space
Dc- Double crochet
Hdc- Half double crochet
Cs- Crab stitch also known as reverse single crochet (gives a spiral edge)
Drop stitch- drop around previous 2 rows to form the legs of the cat

Notes: row 3 when doing the drop stitch you’ll dc around the previous 2 rows to create the cat paws.
