Developed by Megan Lapp aka Crafty Intentions, this pattern is for a Pegasus! It is recommended for intermediate skill level or above. Gauge is not crucial to the pattern of the body, head, and limbs, as long as the stitches are tight enough to hold the stuffing, Gauge for medium weight (4) yarn with an E hook is 5 stitches and 6 rows per 1 inch. An E size crochet hook is recommended with medium weight (4) yarn and you will need a darning needle to weave in the yarn ends and sew any holes shut. You may use a lighter or heavier weight yarn, but you will need to use to change hook size accordingly.
A Pegasus from this pattern is 13 inches tall from head to hoof, 12 inches long from nose to rump, 4.5 inches wide from shoulder to shoulder, and at least 14 inches from wing base to wing tip without stretching them out fully. This pattern is written in U.S. terminology.
This Pegasus is free standing and can be made with four standing legs, or three standing legs and one bent front leg. It utilizes wire for strength and stability. Have fun with it!
This Pattern consists of FIVE separate PDF Files, as follows:
