This is a shallow triangular shaw
that is knit from the top down,
mostly in stockinette .
This allows space for you to add patterned
stitches as you please, or to just enjoy
beautiful stress free knitting. This one
uses fingering yarn but I have done it before
in Miss Barb’s Yowza worsted (560 yards),
Madelinetosh DK (usually 2 skeins)and
Dragon fly Pixie (435 yards) Gauge is not crucial!
Please note that I am not a tight knitter.
This shawl is finished by “ blocking with
authority” as Elizabeth Zimmermann
would say. I like my shawls to be at
least as wide as my outstretched arms,
which according to Vitruvian Man,
should equal my height.

Circular needles sizes 5, ( 16 inch is ok), 6 ( 29 inch will
work)and 7 ( 40 inch are ideal)
