Blankets of snow are melting away, the sun is popping out from behind grey clouds, and spring is just around the corner. The earth is positively bursting with possibility. Everything is waiting, branches stretched wide, pending petals. It is time to swap your thick, cozy winter mittens for something more delicate. These mitts are knit from the bottom up, using a fun combination of twisted stitches and reverse stockinette. A stretch of springtime petals reaches up the front and the back of these mitts. Get your needles out and prepare for a new season. The Pending Petals mitts are the perfect accessory for the transition from winter to spring.

I used Skein Top Draw Sock for my mitts. I love the subtle yellow speckles in this yarn. The name of this lovely colorway…Pollen. What could be more perfect?

SIZES
Adult Small (Medium, Large)
To find your size, wrap a flexible tape measure around the knuckles of your hand, excluding the thumb, and find the circumference. Choose the size approximately 1/2 inch 1.25cm smaller than the circumference of your hand. These mitts are intended to fit snuggly. If in doubt, go down a size.
