These mittens are worked seamlessly in the round and have gusseted thumbs. The staghorn cable pattern changes direction midway, resulting in a medallion on the back of the hand. This cable pattern reminds me of a pendulum. Although the gauge suggests a lighter weight yarn, worsted weight yarn is used on smaller needles to produce a denser fabric.
