Penelope the Hippo uses a 4.5 mm hook and Go Handmade Happy Chunky “fine”. When using the recommended hook size, yarn and yarn under (x stitch), she measures 5 inches/12.7 centimeters. 

Some of the skills used in this pattern are chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, decrease, and finish off. The pattern includes complete assembly details with pictures.
