Happy May Day!
P Pick up a Pocket Penguin - for FREE
… in other words - Happy May #freebeefridayknits

Say hello to this cute little penguin using my yarn black/ white/ yellow stash - I’d love me (and you?) to knit a bigger one with chunkier yarn - one day maybe!
And - for the first time I’ve embroidered eyes! - so no scrabbling and searching to find the right size toy eyes!

Enjoy him - this little fellow has got bags of character - he’s knitted almost as one - joining as you go - only the happy feet are sewn on afterwards.
And he does enjoy a little splash about (hence the water pic!) - so if you’d like to work a little more with the shaping then go ahead - wet and shape.

Oh yes - I will also have a making-up video tutorial for this on my blog - dotpebbles.blogspot.com should you want to make along with me.

Join along with my other knitted creatures - ranging for Beginner’s Bunny (with complete novice tutorial) to much more complex knits - try out my barn owl or my cat!
