The Penny For Your Thoughts headband is a super easy knit that is perfect for first time cable knitters.

Knits up incredibly quick, making it a definite ‘go-to’ pattern for those last minute gifts.

The simple eight row repeat cable pattern is just the thing for when you want a ‘mindless’ t.v. time project.

And BONUS, slip the headband down around your neck and it doubles as a soft squishy cowl!

The pattern was written using Red Heart Boutique Midnight yarn (shown in the gray-blue and multi gold/teal/brown versions pictured) however any worsted weight yarn can be substituted easy peasy. As the length is easily adjusted by adding or subtracting the number of pattern repeats, the gauge is more of a guideline than a hard and fast rule.

The beige, gray, and brown headbands in the photos were knit using leftover Brava Bulky yarn from Knit Picks in colorway Camel Heather on a size 6 circular needle, so play around with different yarn weights and needle sizes for wide range of looks!!

A giant thank you and many (((HUGS))) to Alison for test knitting this pattern!
