Penobscot Narrows Bridge socks are a toe-up sock that utilizes a german short row heel and one by one twisted ribbing. This design highlights multiple twisted rib cables running up the foot and leg and one cable running up the back of the leg. The cables are mock cables and do not require a cable needle. The cables are what inspired the name of the pattern Penobscot Narrows Bridge which is the most famous cabled bridge in Maine. Along with the beautiful and simple cables, Moss Stitch is also utilized to create texture and frame the cables much like the river that the Penobscot Narrows Bridge covers.
