Pentacular is a boomerang shaped Tunisian Crochet shawl that starts its life as a pentagon.
Pair three contrasting colours and have some fun with stripes, bobbles and lace. The boomerang shape is one you’ll keep coming back to for many of your shawls.

Supplies
5.5mm interchangeable Tunisian crochet hook.
Compatible cable at least 80cm/31” long for middle of shawl.
Shorter compatible cable for sides of shawl (optional), around 40cm/15”long.

Measurements
Refer to schematic for measuring points below.
a) Outside edge: 150cm / 59”
b) Inside edge: 117cm / 46”
c) Inner drop: 54cm / 21”

Gauge
22 sts x 18 rows Tunisian simple stitch = 10 cm / 4” square
Yarn
Three contrasting colours of fingering weight yarn of the same fibre. The sample is made from Australian 4 ply Jokamamo Textiles Platinum Sock (75% superwash merino, 25% nylon), 425m/465y, 100g.
Colour A: Neon
Colour B: Highlighter Yellow
Colour C: High Vis Vest

Colour A must be longer than 365m/400y to complete the border. Check the yarn stats before starting.
