If you love vintage-inspired designs and a cozy cottage core aesthetic, then this one is for you! Beautiful peony flowers are paired with classic polka dots in this highly textured, 3D blanket pattern. This timeless blanket is perfect as a gift or heirloom piece to pass down from generation to generation. Includes instructions for two granny squares, assembly and joining, as well as a final decorative border.

This pattern uses US terms and is rated at an intermediate (or even advanced) crochet skill level. Uses basic stitches plus puff stitches, front post stitches, clusters, and CJAYG.

Some techniques are more advanced, but I have attempted to make this as beginner-accessible as possible with row-by-row photo tutorials as well as many helpful tips and suggestions throughout this pattern. There are even some resource videos (exclusive to pattern purchasers, available in right-handed and left-handed perspectives) to demonstrate some of the trickier sections. This has been pattern tested by many other talented crochet artists for maximum clarity and ease of use.

You will need:
-5.5mm crochet hook
-6.0mm crochet hook
-any worsted weight #4 yarn in three colors (I used Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek in Ivory, Forest, and Mauve)
