Peonies Pullover is a boxy V neck cotton pullover with simple lace panel on the sleeves, and embroidered detail. It’s a perfect spring and summer garment, that can be worn with dresses, skirts, shorts, and jeans.

The garment is slightly cropped and is intended to be worn with 4-6” of positive ease. Pattern is sized for 36”-60” finished garment size.

Aran or worsted weight cotton yarn can be used for this project, making it a very quick knit. Embroidery is done with 12 strands of DMC embroidery floss, which is also a lot quicker then a traditional embroidery technique.

I have been inspired by the beautiful embroidery work of Diana Vingert on YouTube (go check her out!) but since I am a knitter first, I have decided to try embroidery on a knitted garment, and thus Peonies Pullover was born. Peonies are some of my favorite flowers, and I have tried capturing them in the embroidery detail. You will be able to use my template to re-create the flowers I have designed, or use your own designs for your embellishments. Don’t worry if you are new to embroidery (I am too.) This is a beginner-friendly project!
