Peony Top
The PEONY TOP is a knitted summer shirt.
It is knitted with 7.0 mm and 4.0 mm knitting needles and a single strand of yarn. Start with the skirt. Knit the skirt to double the length and fold it in half. Then, knit the top of the PEONY TOP. Finally, the straps are added using a 4.0 mm crochet hook. Alternatively you can add an elastic to wear the top strapless.
The pattern is suitable for all knitting levels, making it a great choice for ambitious beginner knitters.
SIZE
Made-to-measure
YARN
To knit the PEONY TOP, you will need:
- Yarn A: Essentials Crochet from Rico Design (100 % cotton, 50 g ~ 280 m) for the skirt (approx. 100 g for size XS/S)
- Yarn B: Mille Fili from Wolle Rödel (100% cotton, 50 g ~ 120 m) for the top (approx. 50 g for size XS/S)
Since the pattern is worked made-to-measure, you can use any yarn and wool.
I recommend using a yarn with a suggested needle size of 3.0 - 4.0 mm (yarn b) for the top and a yarn with a suggested needle size of 1.5 - 2.0 mm (yarn A) for the skirt to achieve the look of the PEONY TOP.
NEEDLES
Tip: I use a 7.0 mm (US 10.75/UK 2) knitting needle for the right side and a 6.0 mm (US 10/UK 4) knitting needle for the left side when knitting with yarn A.
