• I am not sure if it will show up or not, but the gauge is unimportant.
• I used size 6 knitting needles for this, but I think that any would work, so long as they were a tight enough knit to make the picture visible
• the colors on the chart are just a guideline on when to change colors, rather than a suggestion of which you should use.
