Yarn and Yardage
This will depend on your choice of yarn and gauge, but as a guide allow at least the following amounts:

Depending on yarn weight, allow about 110-330 yds/100-300 m for child sizes and 220-600 yds/200-550 m for adult sizes.

Our sample knitter again worked with two strands of fingering weight yarn from Sweet Georgia to create a marled effect for these DK weight mittens. She chose to use 2 strands of Cash Luxe Fine in the Apple Pie colorway for the cuffs and one strand each of Pumpkin (Cash Luxe Fine) and Pineapple (Cash Luxe Spark) for the body of the mittens. She used size US 4 (3.5 mm) needles.

You can use any yarn in any weight with good memory such as wool or acrylic or mixes of both.

Sizes
The intention is that you work a custom size based on your own measurements. Standard size information is provided in the ebook for those who are gift or charity knitting.
