Do you see circles, leaves or diamonds?

Perceptions is a deceptively simple crochet triangle scarf / shawl pattern which can be worked with almost any yarn and hook. It would look stunning in a single solid colour but also lends itself beautifully to ombre and graded yarns as you see here.

The pattern is written in US terms with UK equivalents given in the abbreviations list.
It is a beginner friendly pattern worked with US double crochet, chain sts and simple decreases. A step-by-step photo tutorial is included.

The item you see used a sport weight yarn with a 5 mm hook but is suitable for almost any yarn with a hook a couple of sizes larger than that suggested.
