Approx. 250g aran/heavier worsted weight yarn (Equivalent to approx. 525m/575 yds)
I used Hayfield Bonus Aran with Wool for the top hat depicted in the pattern. I find this is a great thick aran weight yarn, and the 20% wool content adds good stiffness and texture, perfect for this type of project.

Required hooks - 5.5mm and 5mm hooks
