A beautiful, unisex cowl featuring vertical cables and lace work.

The long thin size is meant to be worn doubled over. At the same time, the lacework allows for some air flow so you won’t get too hot.

Yardage: To make a cowl that is 45” long and 4” wide you will need approximately 275 yards (250 meters) of fingering weight yarn (held double) or 143 yards (130 meters) of worsted weight yarn.

Options:
If you prefer a cozier fit that you can nestle down into, using the same yardage, you could make it 22” circumference but 8” wide.

A crisp yarn will really make the design stand out, while a fuzzier yarn will create a softer look and keep too much wind from getting through the holes of the lacework.

Notions: cable needle, stitch marker for beginning of round, tapestry needle.

Skill level: advanced beginner or intermediate.
