I designed the Permission Doll in response to a wonderful thing my father once said to me. He had tagged along when my Mom and I went fabric shopping. I showed him a really exuberant pattern for a somewhat over the top coat, and some colorful fabric.
“Is this too wild?”, I asked him.
He thoughtfully rubbed his chin, and thought for a moment or two.
“Just wear it with panache!”, he said, and grinned merrily at me.
That was the best thing he ever said to me in my whole life.
So, I designed the Permission doll, as a reminder to live my life with panache!
