Welcome to our first Crochet-Along of 2018! My plan for 2018 is to have a CAL each quarter. The first quarter, this one, is a MYSTERY Crochet Along. This means you will not know what the final result will look like until the end. Because this is a Crochet-Along, you will not receive the full pattern until February 23rd when the final part is released. Instead, you will receive the pattern in parts released according to the schedule listed below. Please read through the entire page before purchasing.

Current Promotions:

Purchase 3 patterns and receive 15% off.
Purchase 6 patterns and receive 20% off.
Purchase 10 patterns and receive 25% off.
Purchase 15 patterns and receive 30% off.
Purchase 20 patterns and receive 35% off.
Purchase 25 patterns and receive 40% off.

These discounts are automatically applied to your cart by adding the minimum number of my paid patterns to your cart at the same time. This means you will need to click on “add to cart” and not “buy it now.” This discount will not work if you fail to follow these instructions.

If you live in one of the 160 countries that charge VAT, this fee will be automatically added to your total. You can read more about it here.

This “Mystery Crochet-Along” will run until February 23rd! If you are a tester, you may upload your finished picture on this date!

Each part will be uploaded between 10-11am EST.

Part 1 = rounds 1-10 {Feb 5} PUBLISHED
Part 2 = rounds 11-17 {Feb 9} PUBLISHED
Part 3 = rounds 18-23 {Feb 12} PUBLISHED
Part 4 = rounds 24-28 {Feb 16} PUBLISHED
Part 5 = rounds 29-33 {Feb 19} PUBLISHED
Part 6 = rounds 34-38 {Feb 23}

In addition to complete written instructions, each round will include a photo-tutorial to show you where to place your stitches. You can find helpful video tutorials for some stitches linked in blue in the Stitch Guide. There may also be additional stitch videos made available for tricky sections and these will be linked in the pattern itself.

Each part will contain several files including a photo tutorial file (only pictures), pattern file in English (printer-friendly pattern), and pattern file in Russian (printer-friendly pattern). A picture of what each part should look like when finished will be published according to the schedule on this page and contained on the last page of each photo-tutorial document.

After February 23rd, the photo-tutorial documents will be combined into one file and the pattern documents split into parts will be removed and replaced with the full pattern document.

How to Participate

  • Make sure you have a Ravelry account before you purchase. This is to ensure that the pattern goes into your account library and you will be able to find it easily. If you do not complete this step, you will be responsible for finding the link to your pattern in your email.

  • Create a project page here on Ravelry for your work by clicking on “Hook It” in the top right under the “add to favorites” heart button.

  • Join the FB group to discuss and get support during the Crochet-Along. Share your project with other crocheters and help those along the way. Please do not use the Ravelry comment feature to ask questions, instead use the FB group. This is so that the community working this pattern can help each other and help field questions for me during this time.

  • Check your email regularly. As each new part is uploaded, you will receive an email letting you know.

  • To receive each part as they are released, you will need to update your pattern library or the pattern itself after you receive the email. If you are unfamiliar about how to do this, check out Ravelry’s explanation here.

This MCAL will be available in both English and Russian, in separate documents. The photo-tutorial (pictures) will also be in a separate document.

If you are able and desire to translate the pattern into your native language, please use this form to contact me. Only authorized translations are permitted.

Russian language translation provided by Ula Tomaszewska and tested by Tatyana Norri and Наталья Коваленко.
