Persian Lace Cowl
Years ago I noticed this lace stitch in Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns and made this cute little cowl with it from some random stash yarn. I figured it would be no big deal to make a chart for it, but it thwarted my efforts on a few different occasions. I finally revisited the chart and I think I have it worked out.
The cowl has enough body to provide a little insulation, and stretches easily to slide over your head. The reverse side is interesting, too, so if you keep your work tidy, you can wear it inside-out, too.
The sample was made in a mystery yarn, but I’m currently making another one in Swish DK and it is turning out well.
Skill level: 3
Involves lace, working twisted stitches, and a variable stitch count.
