As the official SnugBug Signature Socks, the design also includes a customizable name panel that allows knitters to make every pair completely personal.

The included alphabet chart and blank name chart can be used to replace “SNUG BUG” with a name, nickname, initials, or short phrase. The front name panel fits up to four letters per row, while longer wording may continue around the leg with up to eight letters per row.

Sizes included: Adult Small, Medium, Large, and XL. The pattern includes separate 72- and 80-stitch chart options, with measurements indicating when each size should begin the toe decreases.

Yarn: Fingering weight sock yarn suitable for stranded colorwork. The sample uses Wollmeise Twin, 80% superwash merino wool / 20% nylon, approximately 510 yards per 150 g skein. Cascade Heritage or another durable, high-contrast fingering weight sock yarn may be substituted.

Gauge: 40 stitches and 44 rounds = 4 in / 10 cm in blocked stranded colorwork, worked in the round on US 1 / 2.25 mm needles.

Skills needed: knitting in the round, reading colorwork charts, stranded knitting, short rows, decreases, working from alphabet charts, and Kitchener stitch.
