Construction
Worked top down, starting flat to create the keyhole closure and then joined and worked in the round from then on. Body and sleeves are seperated, icord neck and ruffle are added separately.

Sizing
When choosing which size to knit it is best to go by the chest measurement if possible as all bodies are different, and the age ranges are only a suggestion. Designed to have 2.5 - 7.5cm / 1-3” positive ease, choose a size that is 2.5 - 7.5cm / 1-3” larger than the chest circumference. Sleeve and body length are based on the average for each size but feel free to make them as long or short as you wish. The pattern will guide you on how and when to add length.

Gauge & Yarn
It is always a good idea to gauge swatch to make sure your garment fits, and to make sure you’re happy with the fabric you’re creating. Adjust your needle size accordingly if needed. The suggested yarn is an Alpaca blend meaning is warm and cosy with a lovely drape.
If you are concerned about keeping a child’s garment clean you may wish to use a superwash treated yarn, bearing in mind these yarns can grow a lot with wear.
