This top down pullover is knit in the round. Begin with the smaller needle and then change needle length as your work progresses to keep the fabric from bunching too much. This can lead to having floats that are too short in your color-work section causing puckering.

This pattern is written with yarn over increases in the yoke section. The yarn overs should be resolved on the next round by knitting through the back of the loop. This is effectively the same technique as a directional lifted bar increase between stitches, it just prevents puckering and changing of tension.

Once yoke is complete, you will set aside stitches for the sleeves and cast on additional body stitches. I recommend placing stitches on to lengths of waste yarn or even spare cables. Continue working in the round until top measures desired length, trying on your sweater as you go.

This sweater is written for general sizing. Consider sizing with positive ease between 2 and 10” in a crop version or 0 - 4” for a more traditional fit. Sleeves are designed to be close fitting, and shoulders should be anchored for a flattering and comfortable fit.
