The Pettu mittens are knitted in the round from the bottom up.

These mittens’ name is from an island in Finland, where staying warm makes it nicer in the autumn.

Size
These mittens are design for an average hand circumference of 18cm.

Yarn
One size: 55gr / 385 m (422 yds) Holst garn coast.

I use three threads of yarn for the mittens.

The color showed in the photos is Lavender.

Needles

Size 6 US (4 mm) double pointed needles
Note: I’m knitting very tight, maybe you’ll need a smaller needle size or use only two threads of yarn. Please knit a swatch to check gauge.

Gauge
22sts and 32rounds = 4” / 10cm in Stockinette Stitch on larger needle with three yarns held together.
