Say hello to the Petunia Sox

This is another pair of socks utilizing my ‘What the Heel?’ shaping.
If you’ve not tried it, it has the look of working a classic heel and turn, but without having to pick up any stitches.
These type of socks are mainly worked in the round with some short rows to help with shaping.

So why did I decide to name these Petunia? Well, the fabulous yarn I chose to knit the main colour (dyed by Third Vault Yarns) is called ‘Oh no. Not again!’. A line uttered by a bowl of petunias in The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy. (If you haven’t read it, you really should)

I hope you enjoy knitting these socks with whatever glorious colours you of your choosing.
