Phakama is a drop shoulder cardigan worked using intarsia to have a two colour back and opposite colour fronts and sleeves. The cardigan is worked from the top down and is a fun one to knit. A double-knit button band gives it a polished finish.

Yarn A: 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9) 50g balls African Expressions – Harmony, 100% Merino Wool approx. (80 m/ 87 yards) Colour – 2081

Yarn B: 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9) 50g balls African Expressions – Harmony, 100% Merino Wool approx. (80 m/ 87 yards) Colour – 2029

Size A (for Main Fabric)
US 7 (4.5 mm) 32”/ 80cm circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge.
Size B (for Double Knit Button Band)
US 5 (3.75 mm) 60”/ 150 cm circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge.
