This FREE pattern is for a ribbed phone bag which can be carried in hand, hung around your wrist, or looped onto a bag. Eyelets are incorporated into the ribbing to create a mesh, sporty look.

It is knit flat and lengthwise (sideways) instead of widthwise, which is what makes the purls “pop” out while the knits “sink” in for the ribbing.

It stretches to accommodate any cell phone width-wise, and can easily be customized for taller phones by adjusting the # of stitches cast on, which is explained in detail with examples in the pattern PDF.

YARN USED: Hobbii Silly Socks Disco in Neon Yellow (75% superwash wool, 25% polyamide, 437 yd / 400 m per 100 g)

SUGGESTED YARN: Light fingering to fingering-weight yarn that is around 75% superwash wool and 25% polyamide and ~400m/100g for elasticity and durability (i.e. most sock yarns!).

GAUGE: Not super important, but 2 “squares” high and 3 “squares” wide is ~1x1 in (see page 2 of PDF)

WIDTH: Approx. 6 cm / 2.35 in, stretches to approx. 12 cm / 4.7 in

LENGTH: Approx. 36 cm / 14.25 in – with my phone in it, it stretches to 40.5 cm / 16 in, when empty and stretched to the max possible it is 51 cm / 20 in.

YARN AMOUNT: ~38 g

NEEDLES: 2mm circular needles with a long enough cable to accommodate the length you want, longer is definitely better (I did mine on a 36 inch cable)

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Advanced Beginner? This is my first pattern so let me know :)
