This mini skein set isn’t exactly sold as a gradient but I thought it was perfect anyway.

I switched yarns by alternating colors for a few rnds. There was enough left over for a generously sized pompom!

My preferred cast-on for the brim is the tubular method, however if you like, you can use any method you prefer.
