Maybe you remember learning about Pi (3.14159) in school and have a vague recollection of how it applies to real life situations. No, me neither. If you are more like me, maybe you are more familiar with Pi Day, March 14th (3.14) where you focus on eating pies.

Be sure to join The Weekly Yarn mailing list at http://bit.ly/TheWeeklyYarn to be the first to know about new designs!

So, in honor of Pi Day, I have created the Pi Plus Cowl, a knit interpretation of pi (π). Change colors in pattern of pi.

The Pi Plus Cowl is worked in the round beginning with a provisional cast-on and grafted to seam ends. See {Resources} at the end of the pattern for links to tutorials.

As you change colors, carry colors along up on the inside of the cowl. To keep yarn from tangle, I cut yarn every color change and secure on the inside without weaving in the ends completely as the end will be on the inside of the cowl and will never be seen. Just make sure those ends are secure.
