Pick n Mix Sweater
The Pick n Mix Sweater is 4 sweater patterns in 1.
It’s knitted in a stranded cable pattern (it’s easier than it looks) and there are 4 different cable design to choose from: Twister, Zigzag, Peanut and Coral.
The pattern also has different suggestions on how to make the sweater even more funky, for example by adding stripes.
The Pick n Mix Sweater is an oversized dropped shoulder sweater, with a saddle shoulder construction.
It’s knitted top down, starting with a German twisted cast-on, before continuing in a 2x2 rib.
The shoulder saddles are knitted in a cabled intarsia pattern. Stitches are picked up along the shoulder saddles, and the front and back panels are knitted flat in stranded cables, while at the same time working German short rows to give a slant to the shoulders. The front and back are then joined in the round under the arms, continuing the cable pattern before ending with a 2x2 ribbed hem.
The sleeves are picked up around the armhole, and knitted in the round, continuing the pattern from the shoulder saddle. Sizes 5-8 have a modified dropped shoulder to make sure it doesn’t sit too far down on the arm (They are therefore knitted flat for a few cm, before joining in the round). The sleeves are then decreased before ending with a 2x2 ribbed hem.
So, how will you Pick n Mix your Pick n Mix Sweater?
