I come from a line of prolific pickle makers, and yet it wasn’t until adulthood that I actually liked eating pickles! Now, I’m a big fan and I wanted a fun little trinket to wear and give away to show off my pickle love: enter the Pickle Pin! Quick to knit up with just a few yards of fingering weight yarn, these pickle pins are perfect for gifting.

Yarn:
Fingering weight yarn in the following colors:
Green: 10 yds
Plus 2 yds of the same green yarn to embroider the bumps on the pickle.

Tools & Materials:

US 1, 2.25 mm double pointed knitting needles

Darning needle for sewing up

Round marker

Scissors

Stuffing or yarn scraps

3/4” bar pin or safety pin for making into a pin

Stitches used:

BO: bind off

CO: cast on

FO: finish off

K: knit

Kfb: knit in the front and back of the same stitch (1 stitch increased)

K2tog: knit two stitches together
