This cover was designed to fashionably protect your paddle in your chosen colors. The double seed stitch adds cushioning and is quick to memorize and knit. The twisted cord edging is easy to make and attach, and adds a polished look.
The button/cord closure is an optional, unique detail designed to securely hold paddle in cover.
This takes very little time to make and would be a great gift. The size of the paddle is important because you want a slight negative ease when finished. But if it’s a bit too big, you can easily piece it together a bit smaller for that snug fit by sewing inside the edge a bit.

I used less than 1 skein for the cover. I should have stash busted for the edging since it used so little, but I really liked the yarn colors. If you stash bust, be sure the cord is thick enough to give that balanced look (1/4inch wide twisted cord) or the cover will overwhelm the edging. The closure cord is thinner, however.

Hand sewing is involved but it’s invisible and, added up, is actually not more than a couple yards of sewing. YOU CAN DO IT! Be confident!
