This is a sizeable but delicate looking flower. I was looking for the right flower for a string bag I am making and could not find quite what I wanted. So after several false starts, I have designed this fluffy number. It is not fast to crochet (lots of picots) but worth it in the end. It comprises three layers, sewn together.

Gauge is not critical for this project, but choose a suitable hook for the weight of yarn you use.
Using the yarn and hook above the finished flower measured two and three quarter inches across and one inch deep (depending on how much you fluff up the petals).
