Working cuff down, Pie Lattice works with 4 simple cable stitches to cross stitches in front and behind others to create a plaited lattice. It is worth the little bit of extra concentration required to ensure your held stitches are placed at the front or the back of the work to ensure that all of your cables weave in and out correctly!
The overall effect is a pleasantly textured sock, on a background of reverse stocking stitch.
There are also instructions for a folded, layered cuff, which works particularly well with shortie socks, but can also be added to the longer sock, if you prefer.
Stitch counts are slightly higher than my other patterns so please check carefully before you begin.
