Originally created so a son would have a handmade piece of home to take away to college with him, this easy to follow pattern and schematic is the ideal beginner project and a great stashbuster! The afghan can be created in a number of different sizes, depending on the total number of squares crocheted. The finished piece can also be made square or rectangular by adjusting the number of squares used. The written pattern also includes a schematic to guide square placement.

Afghan can be crocheted in any weight yarn, and square size is easily customized by simply adding or subtracting stitches (in multiples of 2). If using a yarn other than worsted weight, simply adjust hook size accordingly.
