In celebration of Pi Day, I’ve created a series of accessories loosely based on Pi. Unlike most pi designs, these pieces do not represent the digits of pi using color changes. Instead, they represent those digits by using twists in cables! This means there are not numerous ends to weave in when you are finished. Each column is used to represent the first 6 digits of Pi by placing twists based on the digits.

The Pi Mitts have 3 columns each so the first 6 digits of Pi are separated between the 2 mitts. The left hand is 3 1 4 and the right hand is 1 5 9.

Instructions are both written and charted. Each mitt has its own chart and can be easily read without the aid of any type of e-reader.

Because cable twits do not occur based on a regular interval for each column, this design is not recommended for TV knitting!
