This is a basic folded brim beanie made for the average male sized head. The nature of the brim is quite stretchy and will generally fit many different sizes. The nature of the hat is to be fitted with no slouch.

The pattern is worked in the round starting with 4.5mm needles and switching to 5mm needles after the brim is completed. It is worked in the round on circular needles and done from the bottom up. 5mm DPNs suggested for the decrease portion of the hat.

The yarn used in the design is Berroco Vintage, but a light worsted weight yarn is suggested. During the testing phase of the pattern, many knit with different yarns such as, Lion Brand Heartland, Knit Picks Brava and Caron Simply Soft.
