YARN
Approximately 300 yards of a #3 DK weight yarn for main color and approximately 5 yards each of yellow & green for the pineapples, if desired.

Yarn used in examples: Paintbox Cotton DK #425 Pistachio Green, #424 Mustard Yellow, & #426 Spearmint Green

MATERIALS
US Size E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge, yarn needle, scissors, 24 gauge jewelry wire, wire cutter & pliers

Length: 7”, Around: 21”, Brim Circumference: 47”

STITCHES & TECHNIQUES USED
ch(s) - chain(s), sc - single crochet, dc - double crochet, sl st – slip stitch, st(s) - stitch(es), BLO – back loop only, dc2tog – double crochet 2 together (decrease), FPsc – front post single crochet, bo - bobble

In the final round, you will need to single crochet over a piece of wire to help the brim hold it’s shape. This is not hard, don’t be scared! ;) You can use jewelry wire, which is easy to find in jewelry making aisle at your local craft store.

Color changes for the pineapples are explained in the pattern along with a photo tutorial. There is also a tutorial for making a twisted yarn rope with tassels.
