This pattern is an adaptation of a vintage doily pattern published in 1915. It was originally called the Plate Doily fig 63 from Priscilla Crochet Book Centrepieces & Doilies from the Priscilla Publishing Co. boston Mass. It and many other vintage patterns now in the public domain can be found at antiquepatterns.org.

There are so many fascinating patterns out there and it is an exciting and gratifying challenge to re-create items which our fore-mothers may also have made.
