The pattern is written to produce strips joined to form a blanket. The well-known pineapple pattern is repeated over 6 rows, with foundation rows and an end row to give ‘straight’ ends to the strips.

The blanket size is variable and depends on your choice of yarn, hook size and the overall layout. The photograph shows a blanket approximately 32” x 35” when worked with the suggested yarn and hook.

The strips will have slightly rounded ends, but this is absorbed when the pieces are joined together and a border applied.

Any combination of colours can be used. An all-white blanket would be spectacular for a christening!
