This pattern consists of both a chart and written color abbreviation rows. We are going to use the intarsia technique. Intarsia technique = winding small balls of color yarns to be used, one for each separate area of color in the design. The pattern is worked in single crochet stitch. Each square of the chart is equal to one single crochet and reading right side rows from right to left and wrong side rows from left to right. The yarn we use is Red Heart Super Saver size 4 medium (worsted weight) yarn – 100% Acrylic. We use 5 different color yarns to complete our project. The color yarns we use are White, Bright Yellow, Pale Yellow, Paddy Green, and Spring Green. Additional supply we will need is one 21 1/2” long, 1/2” wooden dowel rod.
