Envelop yourself in the delicate beauty of the PINES Pullover, where flowing cables trace gracefully along the front, back, and sleeves, echoing the rhythmic pattern of pinecones. With its subtle cropped fit and long, relaxed sleeves it is a casual but refined garment. Wear it on your next hike in the woods or the next family gathering – it will soon become one of your favorite sweaters.
It is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning with a folded neckband. New stitches are cast on for the shoulders with a Cable Cast On, then shoulders and neckline are shaped with short rows for better fit. Back and front are worked flat separately to the underarm, then joined and worked circularly to the bottom hem. Finally, sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round straight down to the slightly gathered cuffs.
The pattern includes both written and charted directions.
