About the Pinetum Jumper:

The Pinetum sweater is a boxy brioche jumper. It’s worked bottom up, starting with ribbing in Fisherman’s rib, and then changing to brioche, with the front and back worked separately once you split for the sleeves. The neckband is then picked up and finished in Fisherman’s Rib. The balloon sleeves are also picked up and finished in the round.

Recommended Yarn:

Dark green and teal sample:

Creative Anarchy Comfort (450m/100g) in the colour Hot Springs

Creative Anarchy Cash Fluff in (400m/50g) the colour Skyline

OR

Red and mustard sample:

Creative Anarchy Comfort (450m/100g) in the colour Calcifer

Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk (140m/25g) in the colour Curry

Notes on Yarn:

In both of my samples I have used a heavy fingering weight yarn as my MC held double in the brioche section. You can substitute this for a DK weight yarn as long as you meet gauge.

For the CC I have used two different weights in the different samples. If you opt for the lace weight fluff, make sure you hold it double throughout the brioche section. If you opt for a heavier weight, like the Drops Brushed Alpaca, hold it single. Please note that the pattern is written for lace weight fluff, so you’ll need to adapt your yardage by dividing it by half.

The ribbing sections hold one strand of heavy fingering double with one strand of fluff. If you opt for a DK MC you’ll need to knit the ribbing in only this yarn.

Sizes:

1 (2, 3, 4, 5)(6, 7, 8, 9)

NOTE: Sizes 7 and 8 have not been test knit. If you’d like to test knit these sizes, please send me a message or an email and I’ll send you the pattern.

Finished Bust Circumference:

95 (105, 115, 125, 135) (145, 155, 165, 175) cm

37.5 (41.25, 45.25, 49.25, 53.25)(57, 61, 65, 69) inches

Recommended ease is 10-20cm, 4-8”; sample is shown in Size 3

on a 98cm/38.5” bust with 19cm/8.25” ease.

Yardage:

If you’re using DK weight yarn, please halve these amounts and add another 30% for MC, 20% for CC
