The Pinilian Cowl is a double fabric, stranded colourwork cowl. It features the Compass motif found in Traditional Philippine Tattoos.
This Cowl represents the Northern iteration of the motif (See the Yakan Cowl for the Southern counterpart).

The pattern is written for a small (28”) and a large cowl (40”) using DK weight yarns in 2 contrasting colours.

NEEDLES
3.25mm for the inner fabric
3.5mm for the colourwork
40cm/16” Circular needles or larger, DPNS as needed

GAUGE
24 sts, 32 rows = 10cm/4”
Using 3.5mm Needles on a blocked colourwork swatch, or needle size to obtain gauge
