Show off your Pink Couture in New York! A symmetrical triangle shawl with a graphic border and decorative edging, all knit using the two-color brioche stitch. This shawl was knit in collaboration with Karen from Do Ewe Knit? and Heather from House of A La Mode, especially for Vogue Knitting Live in New York 2019!

Grab 4 skeins of Sport or Fingering weight yarn, 2 in one color for your Main Color, and 1 each of 2 different colors for your Contrast Colors! The pattern is written for Sport weight, but Fingering / Sock weight yarn may be substituted. Please note that the yardage and size of your shawl may vary. A few of my test knitters did use Fingering weight yarns, if you want to check out their yardages and notes on their project pages!

Skill level: Intermediate. Basic brioche skills are not required, but are recommended. Techniques used: knit, purl, brioche knit (brk), brioche purl (brp), brioche increases and decreases, bottom-up triangle shawl shaping, brioche tab cast on, applied border.

Construction Notes: This symmetrical triangle shaped shawl starts with a brioche tab cast on for a seamless transition to the decorative edging on either side of the shawl. The Main Body of the shawl is worked with the Main Color and Color A for the Contrast Color, then you will switch to Color B for the Contrast Color once you get to the applied border! The stitch pattern at the border is very graphic, and is perfect to wrap around your shoulders to show off!

This pattern is both written and charted for your convenience!
