I picked up some Drops “Air” Brand yarn during a killer Black Friday sale at my LYS and knew immediately I wanted to make a wide, luxurious scarf that I can wrap myself up in.

This brand of yarn is a special medium thick blow yarn that features baby alpaca and merino wools. The yarn is so light and the fibre content makes it so warm and a small touch of luxury to add to your wardrobe.

The “blow” texture intrigued me for the fringe and I love how it turned out! The delicate fringe is the real feature of this lavish scarf, it cascades down in a small trellis pattern that is easy and fun and completely detailed below.

3 skeins Drops “Air” Yarn or 450 m of sz 4 yarn

However, this is not super important for the project as long as its long enough

Special Notes

  1. When I tie off my finished project, I leave long ends that will be able to be more fringe, when starting, I leave a long piece to be fringe for the other side- waste not, want not!
  2. I wrap my fringe around a book, deck of cards, whatever I can find that will be the right side to make a measure once, cut once approach
  3. If you do not yet have a rotary cutter, I can not recommend them enough for fringe!
